I know, I KNOW! I should have gone to MIT! But who knew back then? (Actually, I tried to sweet talk my way onto the Media Lab grad student staff back in 1990 but was met with a nice “Um, I don’t really know if there’s a way for Harvard students to get a place here” and didn’t pursue it. I should have. I hope to, still. I’ve got plans, man.)

FROM MIT.EDU NEWS: “Media Lab researchers have created a bidirectional screen capable of both imaging and display. It uses an LCD as a spatial light modulator to support seamless transition from on-screen multi-touch interactions to off-screen hover-based gestures.”
