What’s with the URL… Evolutionary Thinker? not Revolutionary Thinker? Are you sure you got that right?

Here’s my thinking: Occasionally, I do come up with a revolutionary idea, a burst of near-genius, but who doesn’t? I appreciate it when it happens but it’s not a reliable resource.

What’s reliable? Knowing your stuff is reliable. Delivering as promised is reliable. Keeping updated and fresh is reliable. Maintaining your sense of wonder about the world and delight in the workings of the human mind… that’s reliable.

For me, going from where I am to where I will go is always an evolution. And ditto that for what I do to what I will do; from how I see to how I will see. A progressive improvement in thought, learning, concepting, problem solving… an evolutionary frame of mind. It applies to work; it applies to life. Who doesn’t want to evolve?

So, I am finally getting around to writing my first blog. You’re welcome to applaud but, really, it’s about time.
